- Justin Carroll
- “There is so much passion and intensity to Justin and his music. As a performer, he’s riveting. I’m drawn in and then swept away in this raging undertow that carries me gently out to sea. His music is, for me, both a journey and the destination. Catch a live show, if you can. If not, bring home the passion with his CD “It’s Love, It’s Love, It’s Love”.
- Josh Ellyson
- “I acquired Josh’s CD “Into the Borderlands” over a year ago and since that time it has been in constant rotation in my CD player. There are passages of this music that move me to tears and it always seems to take me away to a higher, more spiritual place. Josh is an incredibly gifted artist, multi-instrumentalist and master guitar player. This disc is rich with rhythm and texture. I highly recommend Josh’s music.”
- Joni Harms
- As most of you know, I have pretty eclectic tastes in music. My collection includes everything from pygmy chants to Bach. I had the pleasure of catching Country and Western singer Joni Harms at the amphitheater in Washington Park a few days ago. She is a top-drawer singer/songwriter—with emphasis on the great Western music we used to hear before the genre became Country-Pop/Rock. Her band was amazing, the sound crew had everything dialed in and Joni’s voice was just as clear and beautiful as when she was sitting next to me on the couch at her parent’s house long ago. Joni and I went to the same high school and I took guitar lessons from her for a time.
When I introduced myself at the park and told her of our previous connection, her response was, ‘Well, give us a hug!’ I remember Joni being this wonderfully genuine and welcoming soul—one of the nicest people you’d ever hope to meet. I’d say she hasn’t changed a bit! Her latest album—Let’s Put the Western Back in the Country— shows real character and artistry in both performance and songwriting. You really can’t go wrong with any of her music… I’ll be doing some horseback riding in eastern Washington soon and I plan on sharing some of her beautiful music around the campfire.
